List of studies show that SXM students chose for the future

On Friday, August 1, 2025, the Cabinet of the Minister Plenipotentiary hosted a special Meet & Greet at the Sint Maarten House in The Hague, welcoming the Hon. Melissa D. Gumbs, Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport.

Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport (ECYS) Melissa Gumbs on Monday confirmed that the 25 St. Maarten students who departed over the weekend have arrived safely in the Netherlands.

Acting Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport (ECYS) and sitting Minister of Public Health, Social Development and Labor (VSA), Richinel Brug, said on Sunday that government will do its utmost to protect the local labor market so that students studying abroad can return to meaningful opportunities at home.

Contractors and key stakeholders joined the National Recovery Program Bureau (NRPB) for a site visit to Sister Marie Laurence (SML) Primary School in preparation for the school’s full reconstruction under the Fostering Resilient Learning Project (FRLP).
