GREAT BAY--First things first, hurricane season is not over, but the 2026 Atlantic hurricane season has entered historic territory, with not a single hurricane forming through late September, despite the season passing the period when tropical activity is normally at its highest. Seven named storms have formed so far, but none has reached hurricane strength.

GREAT BAY--As St. Maarten marks World Tourism Day 2026 under the theme “Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism,” the St. Maarten Small Properties Association (SMSPA) is calling for a connected tourism technology vision that ensures the country’s full tourism product is represented as artificial intelligence increasingly influences how visitors choose destinations and plan their vacations.

CAY HILL--A record 502 men participated in St. Maarten Medical Center’s annual Men’s Health Day, with screening results showing that 57 men recorded PSA levels between 4.0 and 9.9 ng/mL, a range considered elevated and requiring medical follow-up. An additional 15 men recorded PSA levels of 10 or higher, meaning 72 of the 502 men screened had PSA results of 4.0 or above.
