GREAT BAY--The inaugural Bring Ya Best Basketball Tournament 2026, hosted by the Reason for Hope Foundation, concluded in strong fashion after a week of regional competition, community support and youth development, setting the foundation for what organizers hope will become one of the Caribbean’s leading basketball events.
The tournament brought together talented teams from across the region and beyond, showcasing competitive basketball, sportsmanship and unity throughout the week.
Hundreds of fans filled the stands to support the athletes, while volunteers, officials, sponsors, partners and supporters worked throughout the event to ensure its success.
One of the tournament’s most significant achievements was the identification of six young athletes by visiting international coaches and scouts for possible future development opportunities.
The Reason for Hope Foundation said the milestone reflects its commitment to creating pathways for young people through sport and demonstrates that Bring Ya Best is more than a basketball tournament. It is also intended to serve as a platform for opportunity, development and positive change.
The Foundation congratulated the Virgin Gorda Bayside Blazers of the British Virgin Islands on being crowned the inaugural Bring Ya Best Basketball Tournament champions.
The Bayside Blazers secured the championship through strong teamwork, determination, discipline and competitive spirit, earning the first title in the tournament’s history.
The Reason for Hope Foundation also extended special congratulations to the participants in the People’s Choice Celebrity Game, which was described as one of the highlights of the tournament.
The celebrity matchup featured Team Must Win and Team Can’t Loss, with Team Can’t Loss emerging victorious following an entertaining performance.
The Foundation expressed its sincere appreciation to all participating teams, coaches, referees, table officials, volunteers, sponsors, partners, supporters and fans whose dedication and enthusiasm contributed to the success of the inaugural tournament.
Organizers also thanked everyone who participated in the celebrity game and helped create a memorable experience for players and spectators.
As the final buzzer sounded on BYB 2026, the tournament left behind more than a championship result. It created development opportunities, strengthened friendships across the region and inspired the next generation of basketball talent.

The Foundation again congratulated the Virgin Gorda Bayside Blazers as the inaugural BYB champions, along with all participating teams, officials and celebrity game participants.
