Learning Unlimited Summit 2026 to bring leading educators to St. Maarten

CAY HILL--Educators across St. Maarten and the region will have an opportunity to come together for a day of professional learning, collaboration and inspiration when Learning Unlimited Preparatory School hosts the Learning Unlimited Summit 2026 on Monday, November 2.

Held under the theme “Elevate. Educate. Empower.”, the one-day Summit will bring together teachers, administrators, counselors, curriculum leaders and other education professionals to explore practical strategies, emerging trends and some of the most important issues facing schools and educators today.

Headlining the Summit as keynote speaker is internationally renowned educator, author and school leadership expert Principal Baruti Kafele.

With nearly four decades in education, Kafele has distinguished himself as a master teacher, transformational school leader and one of America's most sought-after education speakers. Known as “America's AP & New Principals Leadership Coach,” he has delivered more than 3,000 keynotes, workshops and seminars and is the author of 14 books, including seven ASCD bestsellers. His many honors include the prestigious Milken Educator Award and recognition among the World's Top 30 Education Professionals by Global Gurus for six consecutive years.

Joining Kafele will be featured speaker Elizabeth Maglio, Director of Professional Learning for the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS). Maglio brings extensive experience in education, school leadership, professional learning and team development and is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach.

The Summit will also feature international communication and cybersecurity expert Erik Jan “EJ” Koedijk, whose work focuses on digital leadership, cyber resilience and the responsible adoption of Artificial Intelligence. Koedijk will bring a timely perspective on how educators and school leaders can safely and effectively navigate the rapidly changing digital landscape.

Additional presenters will lead sessions across areas including Teaching & Learning, Student Support & Well-Being, Leadership & School Systems, and Innovation & Future Readiness.

“The Learning Unlimited Summit is about investing in educators and creating an opportunity for professionals from across our community to learn from one another, exchange ideas and return to their schools inspired and equipped with practical strategies,” the LU Summit Team said. “When we invest in educators, that investment ultimately reaches our students.” The Summit will take place at Learning Unlimited Preparatory School. Registration and check-in begin at 7:30 a.m., and the conference concludes at 3:30 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be served.

The LU Summit Team is also encouraging the St. Maarten business community to sponsor the registration fee for a teacher at any school on the island. Businesses interested in supporting an educator may contact the school they wish to sponsor or email lusummit@luschool.com.
