MARIGOT--Leader of the Rassemblement Saint Martin and Alternative (RSMA) Louis Mussington on Friday announced its support for the candidacy of Valérie Damaseau, accompanied by her running mate Michel Petit, in the September 2026 Senate elections.

A committed elected official serving Saint Martin for many years, former First Vice-President of the Collectivity, Territorial Councillor, and current President of the Saint Martin Tourism Office, Valérie Damaseau has played an active role in advancing our territory over the past two terms of office.

"Her experience, her understanding of local challenges, and her unwavering commitment to the development of Saint Martin are major assets in representing our Collectivity in the Senate.

"Alongside Michel Petit, currently Vice-President of the Collectivity of Saint Martin, she will carry Saint Martin’s voice to the national institutions with determination, responsibility, and an unwavering focus on the best interests of our territory."

"We invite the electoral college to place their trust in her so that she may continue this mission of representing and defending the interests of Saint Martin," Mussington said.

The Saint-Martin Senate election is scheduled for Sunday, September 27, 2026. That date was set by a French government decree covering the 2026 senatorial elections, including Saint-Martin.
