GREAT BAY--St. Maarten Flavors continues to celebrate the island’s culinary diversity with a series of unique food and beverage experiences offered by participating restaurants and culinary businesses throughout June.

Beyond signature dishes and exclusive menu offerings, the Experiences component of St. Maarten Flavors gives residents and visitors an opportunity to engage with the island’s food culture in a more interactive way. From cooking sessions and rum blending to tasting events, social gatherings and game-day promotions, participating businesses are showcasing the creativity, talent and hospitality that help define St. Maarten’s culinary identity.

At Creole Culinary Classroom, guests took part in popular Sip & Cook sessions held on June 19, 20 and 27. The sessions combined Caribbean cooking with beverages, while guiding participants through the preparation of local dishes and introducing them to island ingredients, techniques and traditions.

Rum lovers can enjoy a personalized blending experience at The Rumhuys, where guests create their own bottle of rum by combining different flavors, fruits and spices. The experience offers participants a unique keepsake while highlighting one of the Caribbean’s most recognized spirits.

Topper’s Restaurant & Bar is also participating with A Flavorful Hour of Rum and Island Cuisine, an immersive tasting experience featuring Topper’s award-winning rums paired with chef-crafted bites, rum cake, gelato and signature island cocktails. The experience is available daily throughout June at a special St. Maarten Flavors rate.

For guests seeking a relaxed social outing, Balls & Wine has introduced Spritz Sessions, a month-long celebration inspired by the Italian aperitivo tradition. The experience includes refreshing spritz creations, tapas pairings and a four-for-three promotion designed for sharing among friends.

Lazy Lizard is offering casual Caribbean dining in a laid-back waterfront setting three evenings each week, with complimentary transportation options for select resort guests and parking reservations for local visitors.

Sports fans can also take part at Catch 21, where World Cup matches are paired with game-day promotions. Guests receive a complimentary cocktail while watching the match, and every goal scored is celebrated with a complimentary shot for everyone in the restaurant.

“One of the objectives of St. Maarten Flavors is to encourage culinary businesses to think beyond the traditional dining experience,” said Michele Korteweg on behalf of the St. Maarten Hospitality & Trade Association. “These events allow guests to interact with chefs, learn new skills, discover local products and create lasting memories while experiencing the incredible diversity of our culinary community.”

Residents and visitors are encouraged to explore the full calendar of events at the St. Maarten Flavors website.
