TEATT gives T-Plate and G-Plate permit holders until September 28 to comply

GREAT BAY--The Ministry of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunication has given Touring Car and Unregulated Transport permit holders until September 28, 2026, to complete outstanding requirements under the 2026 Confirmation Letter Process.

The Ministry, through the Inspectorate of Economic and Transport Affairs, IETA, has also published the list of T-Plate and G-Plate operators who have successfully completed the process (list is at the end of this article).

The exercise forms part of an ongoing clean-up of the public transportation database. TEATT said the aim is to establish an accurate register of active operators, strengthen regulatory oversight, improve enforcement planning and support future transportation policy.

Permit holders whose names do not appear on the published list are being urged to contact IETA and complete the outstanding requirements before the September 28 deadline.

Operators must submit a tax declaration carrying the company’s CRIB number, vehicle inspection cards, insurance documents, their Touring Car or Unregulated Transport permit, Chamber of Commerce registration, proof of payment for the 2025 Business and Director’s Licence where applicable, an Excel spreadsheet listing all vehicles in the fleet, and copies of all 2026 Road Tax receipts.

The required documents must be submitted to the Transport Control Unit at teatt.trans@sintmaartengov.org.

Permit holders who are not currently operating must also respond before the deadline. They are required to submit a signed letter explaining the reason for their inactive status, along with a copy of their permit.

TEATT said the information will allow the Ministry to update its records and determine the proper administrative status of each permit.

The Ministry also reminded operators that under Article 16(g) of the National Ordinance on Passenger Transport, a permit may be temporarily suspended or permanently revoked if it has not been used for a continuous period exceeding six months.

Following the September 28 deadline, the Ministry will carry out a final review of all outstanding permits.

Operators who fail to respond or regularize their status may be referred for administrative action in accordance with the applicable legislation.

TEATT thanked operators who have already completed the Confirmation Letter Process and encouraged those who remain outstanding to use the final opportunity to bring their records up to date before the database clean-up exercise is concluded.

Car rental companies are also being reminded that they have one week remaining to complete their confirmation process. The deadline for car rental operators to submit the required documentation or notify IETA of their status is Monday, September 21, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. Companies that are not currently operating must still make contact, explain their inactive status in writing and submit a copy of their permit.
